Last August, work was completed on the new outpatient treatment center at the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, located on the grounds of the Hospital General de Granollers. The project was carried out in collaboration with BAAS Jordi Badia.

The new center was inaugurated on September 13, 2023 by the Minister of Health, Manel Balcells. The ground floor houses a state-of-the-art radiotherapy center with two high-energy linear accelerators and a simulation computed tomography (CT) scanner. The upper floor houses a new dialysis center that can treat up to 35 patients at a time.

The new radiotherapy oncology and dialysis services have been set up to serve the population of Vallès Oriental and Osona. In this way the treatments are brought closer to the patients of the C-17 axis, improving their quality of life by avoiding the need to travel to the large hospitals in Barcelona.

The new building has been designed with Age-Friendly criteria, seeking maximum comfort and functionality for both patients and healthcare personnel. The rounded shapes, the interior courtyards, and the materials used in both the facade and the interior offer a welcoming, accessible and friendly environment, improving the experience of all users.
