The refurbishment and expansion of the surgical block of the Sant Camil Residence Hospital, in the town of Sant Pere de Ribes, Barcelona, promoted by the Consorci Sanitari Alt Penedès-Garraf (CSAPG), has recently been completed.

The work consisted of an extension that doubles the surface area of the current surgical block, adding 2 new operating rooms to the 3 existing ones, which have also been refurbished. It also includes a recovery area with 7 recovery stations and a new sterilization service adapted to the new service.

It was essential to plan and execute the work in different phases, in order to maintain the service’s healthcare activity at all times. With this new surgical block, the Hospital can face new healthcare and technological challenges in the future, always with an eye to improving patient care and the well-being of the professionals, who have a new working environment in line with the latest design trends.
