During this month it has been completed the delivery of the APS (Avant-Projet Sommaire) of the project of residence of the elderly (maison de soins) in Bascharage, a small town located to 20 km of the capital of Luxembourg.
Here there are the general criteria and characteristics of the proposal:
The completion of this phase took place with the presentation of the project to the government of the country, in the offices of the Luxembourg Public Administration, the ABP (Administration des Bâtiments Publics).
The site of the project, located in the Op Acker area of Bascharage, has the discourse of the Mierbaach stream. It is for this reason that in first place it is developed a project of landscape reconditioning of the area, located near the sports center and an educational center.
The nursing home project or maison de soins will welcome elderly people with difficulties to fend for themselves, but who do not require important medical treatments.
For this purpose, the sanitary building has a built area of 19,700 m2 and a capacity of 200 people, who are housed in single rooms. The ground floor accommodates the reception, restoration and admission functions on half of its surface.
In the floors where there are the individual rooms, the building is organized as an “8″, with corridors forming circulation loops. This customer-established premise allows inpatients to walk through the building without going back on their way.
Finally, in the nursing home project, two courtyards are proposed with the objective of creating new perspectives, allowing all the premises of the functional block to have a connection with the outside that provides them with views, light and natural ventilation.
Finally, we would like to remember the importance that it takes for our team the participation in architecture projects at an international level. This way of working forms part of the business strategy of CASA Solo Arquitectos as a member of the consortium GINA Barcelona Architects, in its constant commitment to be an active part of the design and construction of health centers of the future.
