The Government of Bolivia received funding from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to finance the implementation of the Project for Improvement of Access to Hospital Services.

The project includes consulting and fiduciary technical assistance, transfer of knowledge and skills, design and supervision of works and hospital equipment for the implementation of a tertiary hospital in the Upper South.

The hospital has a capacity of 154 beds and the services of a tertiary hospital with cancer specialty: Emergency, ICU, Surgical Block (4 operating rooms), Block Obstetric, Neonatal Unit, Image (with CT and MRI ), Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Care Open Area (Consultations) Oncology Day Hospital, Radiotherapy (accelerator 1), Brachytherapy, Nuclear Medicine (2 gamma cameras), etc.
